Author Visits

“We can’t wait to have Suzanne back to read us her next book!”

The Gower School, London

School children love author visits! It reinforces a love of reading, and really brings a story to life. Suzanne Hemming, author of both She’s Not Good for a Girl, She’s Just Good! and The Queen Engineer, regularly visits Reception through to Year 2 classes to read her books and discuss the themes of equality and acceptance. Through discussion and/or workshops the children always conclude that girls and boys are equals, and can do anything they set their minds to.

“The messages in Suzanne’s books are relevant and inspiring for all – for all ages and all genders – be the person YOU want to be! Suze has worked across our school on a number of occasions, with children from the Early Years to KS2, in both small and larger groups.  The children are always enthralled, full of curiosity, inspired to write and, importantly, instilled with a determination to be who they want to be!”
